Re-visit Moore Trees (formerly know as Shoemaker’s Ridge Road Tree Farm) and expect the same great prices and quality trees. We are a “Choose & Cut” Christmas tree operation and offer assistance to those who need help cutting down a tree. Moore Trees goal is to create a lasting family tradition of celebrating Christmas with a real Christmas tree.
Our trees are farm fresh. Our wreaths, and byproducts are made with our own fresh greens. Our heated gift shop offers complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies. While warming up in the gift shop view our hand-crafted wreaths, door swags, table center pieces, and other miscellaneous items.
About the Tree Farm
Shoemaker’s Ridge Road Tree Farm was established in 1993 by Dave and Monica Shoemaker. The Shoemakers continued building up inventory and started selling trees in 2000. After nearly 15 years in the industry, the Shoemakers decided to sell the business. In July 2008, Moore Trees LLC decided to purchase Shoemaker’s Ridge Road Tree Farm and renamed it “Moore Trees”.
Moore Trees began as a deciduous and ornamental tree nursery at Pesotum, IL in the spring of 2004. Moore Trees specialized in “Balled & Burlaped” ( B&B ) trees and have a 90″ Big John tree spade truck. In March 2006 Moore Trees leased additional land on Rt. 150 west of Champaign, IL and began field production there.
In May 2006, Moore Trees moved its headquarters to 3510 W. Bloomington Road (Rt 150) in order to better serve the Champaign-Urbana area. In July 2008 Moore Trees decided to purchase Shoemaker’s Ridge Road Tree Farm. Moore Trees now specializes in B&B nursery production, tree installation, 90″ Big John tree spade truck, and a “Choose & Cut” Christmas tree operation. Moore Trees is excited about serving customers from 3 locations and strives to make your tree experience one to remember.
Driving Directions
Depending on where you start from, there are several ways to get to Moore Christmas Tree’s. If you are traveling from outside Champaign/Urbana:
From the north, take I-74 to the University exit. Turn left onto Rt.150. Then right on Rt. 130. Travel approximately 4 miles, then turn right on County road 1200N. Travel 1 mile, then turn left on County road 1500E. Moore Christmas Tree’s is approximately .7 of a mile, on the left.
From the South, on I-57, take the Monticello road Exit (Willard Airport), head east on Monticello road until you reach Rt. 45 (T intersection). Turn left on Rt. 45, travel 1 mile turning right onto County road 1100N. Travel approximately 3.9 miles until you reach County road 1500E. Turn left on County road 1500E, Moore Christmas Tree’s is approximately .3 of a mile, on the right.
